INTERNAL REGULATIONS OF THE SPORTS COMPLEX “RTU ĶĪPSALA SWIMMING POOL”
1. General terms:
1.1 In the closed area of the Sports Complex premises, the only allowed footwear is clean rubber footwear that visitors change into. If a visitor does not have such footwear, he or she must purchase shoe covers at the Information Centre of the Sports Complex and wear them on the soles of his or her footwear for the entire duration of the stay on the closed premises of the Sports Complex;
1.2 The Customer shall attend classes in the sports halls wearing appropriate clothing and clean sports footwear (rather than outdoor footwear). At the gym, only appropriate closed-toed sports footwear is allowed.
1.3 Prior to each use of the swimming pool, the Customer must take a shower without wearing a swimsuit or swimming trunks;
1.4 Every Sports Complex customer shall be responsible for the state of his or her health, monitoring the way he or she feels during sports classes. If any unpleasant pain, dizziness or the sensation of discomfort arises, the Customer must immediately stop doing class activities and approach the instructor or seek help at the Information Centre of the Sports Complex;
1.5 The Sports Complex shall not be liable for accidents and injuries sustained due to the negligence of a Sports Complex user or in the event of non-compliance with the Internal Regulations;
1.6 An adult shall assume full responsibility for the child`s state of health during swimming lessons/sports classes and the child`s behavior in the swimming pool and/or in other areas of the Sports Complex;
1.7 Children from the age of seven with solid swimming skills are admitted into the large swimming pool;
1.8 Children of less than 11 years of age (included) may use the swimming pool only in the presence of adults or a Sports instructor, and the children shall be under strict supervision by these persons;
1.9 The Customer shall be responsible for his or her personal belongings. The Sports Complex shall not assume liability for valuables left in the coatroom, changing room lockers or elsewhere and for the cars parked in the car park;
1.10 The Customer hereby undertakes to comply with the norms of personal hygiene and to respect other users of the complex. On the premises of the Sports Complex, it is not permitted to shave any part of the body, use body scrubs and honey in the shower or in the saunas, clip one`s nails, etc.;
1.11 When using the sauna, the Customer must put a towel underneath his or her body to ensure their personal hygiene and safety;
1.12 The Customer is aware that the swimming pool, the sauna and the sports hall must be vacated 15 minutes prior to the closing time of the Sports Complex;
1.13 The Customer hereby undertakes to treat the equipment with care and put used equipment back into its designated place after the end of the class (both in the gym, aerobics, boxing, physiotherapy halls and in swimming group and individual classes);
1.14 While on the premises of the Sports Complex, the Customer shall comply with the rules of general safety and fire safety and sanitary regulations;
1.15 It is not allowed to bring glass bottles into the territory of the Sports Complex;
1.16 For attending classes held in the swimming pool, customers need to have personal hygiene supplies and a swimsuit or swimming trunks with them;
1.17 It is allowed to use the swimming pool wearing swimming trunks; swimming shorts with pockets are not allowed;
1.18 All swimming pool visitors must use swimming caps;
1.19 Swimming in the pool is allowed after presenting a red or yellow wristband. It is allowed to attend classes in the gym and the aerobics and boxing halls after showing the instructor a green or yellow wristband. If a person is not wearing these markers, the instructor or coach is entitled to deny admission to the pool or sports halls;
1.20 The equipment used in the sports halls (exercise machines, exercise mats, fitness balls) must be cleaned with the designated cleaning liquid and tissues after use;
1.21 It is allowed to use the boxing hall only together with a coach both during group classes and individual classes;
1.22 A one-time ticket must be purchased in order to be admitted outside of the time frame indicated on the subscription;
1.23 In the event of infringements of regulations, damage to equipment, loss of a key to a locker, or exceeding the visit time, employees of the Information Centre of the Sports Complex are entitled to request a fine from the visitor for the infringement that has been committed. If the visitor avoids paying the fine, the administration of RTU Ķīpsala Swimming Pool is entitled to deny this particular visitor the opportunity to use the services of the Sports Complex in the future. In this case, the amount paid for the type of service purchased by the visitor shall not be reimbursed;
1.24 Purchasing a one-time ticket/subscription, using a health insurance policy and confirming the cooperation agreement shall confirm that the visitor has read the regulations and undertakes to comply with them;
1.25 Employees of the Sports Complex are entitled to refuse a Customer the opportunity to purchase a one-time ticket or purchase/extend a subscription if the Customer has failed to comply with the regulations;
1.26 The procedures governing use of the services are specified in the Regulations on the Use of the Services of Sports Complex RTU Ķīpsala Swimming Pool.
2. On the premises of the Sports Complex, it is NOT ALLOWED:
2.1 to run;
2.2 to break, vandalize or otherwise damage the premises, equipment and other appliances of the Sports Complex. The damages incurred due to each case of damage shall be covered by the person who committed the infringement;
2.3 to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs and other psychotropic substances, or use these substances on the premises of the Sports Complex. Employees of the Sports Complex are entitled to expel on suspicion an intoxicated visitor from the premises of the Sports Complex;
2.4 to behave loudly, use obscenities, offend or otherwise disturb or affect other Customers or staff at the Sports Complex;
2.5 to smoke;
2.6 to bring any animals into the Sports Complex;
2.7 to pour liquids of any kind on the sauna rocks and other heating elements;
2.8 to take photos, film, make audio recordings or perform similar actions on the premises of the Sports Complex, make copies of or otherwise photocopy Sports Complex materials without written consent from the management of RTU Ķīpsala Swimming Pool;
3. In the swimming pool, it is strictly FORBIDDEN:
3.1 to jump into the swimming pool head or feet first;
3.2 to dive;
3.3 to shout and call for help unnecessarily, thus misleading the lifeguards;
3.4 for persons who do not know how to swim and have arrived to attend an individual session, to be in the swimming pool without armbands or float belts;
3.5 to swim or use the sauna while being aware of one`s own or children`s poor state of health (cardiovascular diseases, grazes, a head cold (rhinitis), head injuries, etc.);
3.6 to use the swimming pool and the sauna if one has a skin disease or another contagious disease, or in the case of open wounds, even if a dressing has been put on.
4. At the gym, IT IS NOT ALLOWED:
4.1 for persons younger than 16 to work out on their own, unsupervised by Sports Complex staff;
4.2 to use the gym, wearing open-toed pool slide sandals or while barefoot;
4.3 to use any exercise machine without having a clear understanding of how to handle it;
4.4 to use exercise mats barefoot;
4.5 to bring into the gym and consume food products.
5. In the aerobics hall / rock climbing hall, it is NOT ALLOWED:
5.1 to climb the rock climbing wall while wearing footwear with a black sole;
5.2 to climb the rock climbing wall in the absence of an instructor if one is not knowledgeable and experienced enough in rock climbing;
5.3 to climb the rock climbing wall without using belay equipment;
5.4 to use the aerobics hall barefoot or wearing nylon/polyamide socks.
In case of non-compliance with the Internal Regulations, the administration is entitled to cancel a customer`s subscription card without reimbursement.
