The importance of therapeutic exercise

Maintaining spinal health is essential role for everybody. The key function of the spine is to hold together the entire musculoskeletal system and ensure the body`s movements in all directions. Unequivocally, back pain is not the norm for everyday life, and we should not put up with it.

The main causes of back pain are mainly strained muscles and muscle stiffness, usually due to sitting for long periods of time, for example, in front of a computer. However, in most cases, back pain develops as a result of injuries or due to incorrect movements – lifting, beding over, when herniation of the vertebrae or the intervertebral discs, scoliosis, spondylosis or other issues that cause pain develop.

One of the key components of the treatment of back pain is therapeutic exercise under the guidance of a physiotherapist.

Posture correcting exercise for children

The main cause of changes in the posture in children and young people is insufficient and asymmetric development and loading of the muscles and ligaments. During the class, we strengthen the muscles in the back and the limbs and abdominal core muscles and stretch the muscles that have become shortened. The objective is to reduce the excessive lordosis of the lumbar and cervical regions of the spine and kyphosis of the thoracic region of the spine, or to create the necessary curvature, bringing the child`s posture as close to the physiological norm as possible.

A medium intensity class designed for promoting back health, both on a preventative and on a therapeutic basis.

Effective exercises, which have been combined with various methods of physiotherapy and correct breathing, will strengthen the deep muscles and develop the muscles of the core, thus shaping a correct posture and combating pain in the lumbar, thoracic and cervical regions of the spine.

Individual exercise under the guidance of an instructor

As it is sometimes not possible to achieve the process of recuperation in a group class, a physiotherapist assesses the course of recuperation during a consultation and offers to do exercise individually, so that the physiotherapist can paying 100% attention to the customer.
